Data Protection Notice
Prepared in accordance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.
1. Data Controller
Pursuant to the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK"), your personal data may be processed by Vesile İnsani Yardım Derneği ("Association") as the data controller within the scope described below. Our Association operates at Merkezefendi Mah. Mevlâna Cad. Tercüman Sitesi No:116 A10 Blok D:23 Zeytinburnu / İSTANBUL and is registered with the Davutpaşa Tax Office under tax number 925 094 3349.
2. Personal Data Processed
Our Association may process the following data: full name, email address, phone number, contact form contents, donation-related information, and website usage data. This data is processed solely for the purposes stated below and in accordance with applicable legislation.
3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes: processing and tracking donations, responding to your contact requests, providing information about Association activities, fulfilling legal obligations, managing membership and volunteering processes, and conducting statistical analyses.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Your personal data is processed based on your explicit consent under Article 5 of KVKK, when directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, when necessary to fulfil a legal obligation, and for the protection of our Association's legitimate interests.
5. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared with authorised public institutions within the framework of legal obligations, with licensed payment institutions for processing donations, and with service partners for carrying out Association activities. Your card details are not stored by our Association.
6. Retention Period
Your personal data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymised once the purpose of processing ceases or upon expiry of the statutory retention periods prescribed by applicable legislation. Data relating to donation records is retained for the statutory periods required by tax and accounting regulations.
7. Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of KVKK, you have the following rights: to learn whether your personal data is being processed; to request information if it is; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; to know the third parties to whom data is transferred domestically or abroad; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of KVKK; to request notification of such operations to third parties; to object to a result arising from automated analysis that is detrimental to you; and to claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.
8. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise the rights listed above, you may send an email to [email protected] or submit a written application to Merkezefendi Mah. Mevlâna Cad. Tercüman Sitesi No:116 A10 Blok D:23 Zeytinburnu / İSTANBUL. Your applications will be concluded free of charge within at most 30 (thirty) days depending on the nature of your request. However, if the process requires an additional cost, the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board will apply.
9. Changes
Our Association reserves the right to update this notice in line with legal regulations or changes in data processing activities. The current version will always be published on this page.
